The ALTA LED arrays are the most reliable on the market. The Copper base plates allow almost one half the thermal resistance as aluminum arrays. This allows for lower junction temperatures and longer life. The ALTA LED arrays use ALTA’s unique chip designs, which provide a 30% effeciency vs, the industry standard of 15%. This allows for less heat sinking.

The fixture designers job is to keep the arrays surface temperature under 85˚ C (185˚ F). This will provide a 50,000-hour life. The life is halfed for ever 8˚ of temperature increase above 85˚ C (185˚ F).
